Hormone Therapy with the Restore Program

Used for treating menopause and andropause symptoms, natural hormone replacement therapy program consisting of bio-identical hormones will replace diminishing hormone levels in the body as it ages.  The symptoms of menopause and andropause include hot flashes, memory loss, decline in libido, weight gain especially around the waist area, night sweats, sleep problems, mood changes, dry skin, decreased muscle mass, dry vagina and possible bladder control issues. Natural bioidentical hormones, composed of soya plant and natural yams synthesized in a laboratory are a healthier choice for managing menopause and andropause solutions.

Awareness and interest in bioidentical hormones increased when such celebrities as Suzanne Somers, Dr. Phil and Oprah began writing and broadcasting information about the subject.  Other well noted physicians began also to write about bio identical hormones and adopt this therapy into their practice.  Women across North America were demanding natural solutions to the symptoms of menopause ever since the Womens Health Study in 2002 had revealed that synthetic hormones were very dangerous to their health.  This is only a recent event in North America (for the last 20 years), but bioidentical hormones have been used in Europe for well over 50 years now.

The Restore Program is a web based program used by doctors to monitor bioidentical hormone replacement for their patients.  Originally only available in the United States, it was created by Women’s Health America Inc. (www.womenshealth.com).  It utilizes cutting edge technology, saliva hormone and bone loss testing, to enable the physician to respond to each patient’s individual needs for hormone replacement therapy.

TruBalance Healthcare Inc., an innovative medical services company, is launching the Restore Program in Canada for doctors and health care providers at the Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Conference and Expo on April 9th and 10th at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto.  Dr. Mark L. Gordon, M.D., FAAFP – an international educator in natural BHRT and author of “The Clinical Applications of Interventional Endocrinology” and Dr. Sangeeta Pati, M.D., recognized as an international authority on hormone replacement therapy will be keynote speakers.  Marla Ahlgrimm, R.Ph. the founder and CEO of Women’s Health America, Inc., will also be speaking and presenting her book, “The Hormone Replacement Solution.”

Trubalance Healthcare Inc., has previously sponsored Suzanne Somers to speak in Toronto about her new book “Breakthrough” and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

For more information on the Restore Program, please contact the Director of Business Development & Communications at TruBalance Healthcare Inc.  Tel.  647.884.0663 or 1.866.418.9303, or visit their website at www.trubalancehealthcare.com.

The Restore Program will bring doctors and patients together to assist in managing hormone decline with natural bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

A New Bioidentical Doctor in Toronto

We have found a new bioidentical doctor in the Toronto area for those women and men seeking bioidentical hormones to treat their menopause or andropause symptoms. The doctor’s name is Dr. Pugen.

If you are beginning to suffer from the many symptoms of menopause which include hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain especially around the waist area, feelings of moodiness or depression, lack of energy, disturbed sleep patterns, (for example, waking in the early morning hours and unable to get back to sleep) and are approaching your early 40s or 50s, perhaps it’s time to seek a solution to these problems. Discuss with your doctor the options available for you. If your symptoms are not severe, you may be able to treat your menopause with simple life style changes such as a change in diet, exercise, reducing your stress levels and simple nutritional supplements. PureAgeless explores all the natural anti aging options available to you. However, if you are suffering from severe symptoms which are making your life extremely difficult, you may need to balance your hormone levels with bioidentical hormones.

You can go to any doctor, including your regular general doctor and have them do a hormone panel on you. This is a simple blood test where they will assess what your hormone levels are, including estrogen (estradiol, estrone and estriol, progesterone, free testosterone and your thyroid levels. By testing the levels of your hormones in your blood, the doctor will be able to know whether you are premenopausal or actually in menopause. If your hormone tests show that you have hormones which are unbalanced and you are in menopause, you can speak to your doctor about treating your menopause with bioidentical hormones.

Men are also treating their “menopause” – known as “andropause,” these days with bioidentical hormones. The procedure is the same for men and women. Visit your doctor to have the hormone levels tested and, in this way discover which of your hormones need to be replaced. If your regular doctor is not able to prescribe bioidentical hormones, men will then have to find a bioidentical doctor in their area. Simply make an appointment and discuss the symptoms you are experiencing and the results of your hormone tests. The hormones most commonly in decline in men as they approach their late 40s to early 50s include progesterone and testosterone. After visiting the bioidentical hormone doctor, they will obtain a prescription for an individually compounded bioidentical hormone mixtures of the hormones they need to replace.

You will be able to find Dr. Pugen’s contact information on our Canadian doctors page. Dr. Pugen is located on Bathurst Street area in north Toronto. Many thanks goes to one of our readers for supplying this bioidentical doctors name for our other readers. In this way, we can help each other in our search for bioidentical hormone relief for menopause and andropause symptoms.
