Restylane:

Restylane is a cosmetic filler used for lips, wrinkles and facial contours. It is made by a Swedish company called Q-Med that develops, produces and markets medical implants. It is used make lips fuller, fills in deep folds in the face and smoothes wrinkles. It is made of a natural ingredient called stabilized hyaluronic acid. Restylane gives natural and long lasting results. The results are not permanent, but they last a long time. Factors which affect the length of time that Restylane will last depend on many things, including muscle activity, life style and skin type.

Restylane is safe. This product is used in over 60 countries worldwide by millions of people. Hyaluronic acid is non animal, therefore, there is no chance of transferring disease or causing allergic reaction in patients with allergies to such foods as eggs, chicken or beef. It is stabilized and biodegradable. It is made under the most stringent conditions by a patented process in the labs of Q-Med. It is a substance identical in all species and tissue types.

Restylane
is injected in tiny amounts into the area that requires it. The gel binds with water and is absorbed slowly. This process allows for time to maintain the results. Speak to a doctor who is experienced with Restylane injections and cosmetic surgery. Follow up treatments can take place after about six months. It is not necessary to have local anesthetic unless you require it. Some side effects may include redness, swelling, itching, pain, discoloration and tenderness at the site of injection. About 1 in 2000 patients experience sensitivity reactions which can start a day or two after the injection. Restylane creates a soft natural look by creating volume and smoothing wrinkles.

Artecoll is a long lasting cosmetic filler made by Canderm Pharma Inc. It has been used since the 1930s in eye lenses, dental work and bone repair. It is a biocompatible substance consisting of microscopic PMMA beads and collagen with some lidocaine to soften the pain of the injection.

It works by stimulating natural collagen, binding with the collagen adding volume and structure to your skin, a process which takes about two to three months to be absorbed.
