Unfortunately, Dr. Paul’s name was given to us by a reader of this website. I would suggest that people just start phoning around their town or city the doctors of Saskatchewan to try and find a doctor who prescribes bioidentical hormones. The other option is to travel to another province or to the United States to find a doctor who has the knowledge to prescribe natural bioidentical hormones. Also, one of the best sources to help you find a bioidentical doctor is to locate a compounding pharmacy. They are usually a good source for finding these doctors.

We only know of the doctors that we have listed here. If you can find a compounding pharmacy near to you, they will probably know of a bioidentical doctor near to you. The other option is that you will have to set up an appointment to travel to southern Ontario to a doctor located there.

Some doctors are covered by provincial health insurance and others charge over and above the insured cost of your visit. You will have to check with the doctor your have chosen. Some health companies also covered bioidentical hormone preparations but again, you’ll have to check with your health insurance company.

Is this for real? I recently returned to my home in Sask after living in Virginia, U.S.A. for 25 yrs. I have spent 2 months looking for drs who understand and can prescribe bioidentical hormones. One of the most surprising things I’ve found is that the mainstream media keeps writing about progestins and chemical hormones from the Big Pharmas, but they never even mention bio-identical hormones. They keep writing about the dangers of synthetic hormones, but never mention in their articles “bio-identical hormones.”
Why is this? Have they never heard about bio-identical hormones or are they not allowed to write about them?
There are far more doctors who understand hormones and work with people when their hormone levels diminish – in the United States – just check our US doctors’ listings. It is difficult to understand why there are so few doctors in Canada who know about hormones and bio-identical hormone supplementation.
Unfortunately, it’s a sad state of affairs in Canada.
