We have added some more bioidentical doctors to our Doctors Canada page to make it easier for you to find a doctor who will prescribe you natural bioidentical hormone therapy.

Dr. Edward Ragan, Clinical Director, Metalife Biomedical Centre is now prescribing natural bioidentical hormones in the Ottawa, Ontario area.

Dr. Clare Westmacott, M.D. is located in Canmore, Alberta.

Unfortunately, we still do not have enough doctors in Canada who understand the symptoms of menopause and can help treat us with natural bioidentical hormones.  Women are waiting!

I am looking for a doctor in New Brunswick Canada who is using bio identical hormones in their practice. I have been seeing and hearing all kinds of good things about this and would like to have my hormones balanced however the doctor I have now does not know anything about them. Could somebody recommend a doctor to me? I have asked a compounding pharmacist but they know of no doctors taking patients. I am looking forward to feeling better soon without antidepressants and premarin! I would be ever so grateful for any help. We women deserve better than what we are given now. It definitely does come down to quality of life.

I am also looking for a female doctors who prescribe bioidentical hormones in Canada.

I notice the list on this site is out of date and/or inaccurate.

    To sb4433,

If it takes a while to find informed doctors in New Brunswick, you don’t need to go on to anti-depressants and Premarin in the meantime.

A better option is almost bio-identical plant hormones. Find a doctor who at least knows about Prometrium (progesterone) and Estrace (estradiol).

I take 100 mg of Prometrium and 1 mg of Estrace every evening: no hot flushes, no more lethargy, no more overall not-quite-right symptoms, enough energy to workout each day (one hour/4.5 miles/approx. 470 calories) to fight middle-age midrift fat.

Having said that I would like to switch to biomedical identical hormones to feel and look even better.

Please let us know which doctors are out of date or inaccurate. Doctors inform us of their new contact information when it changes or is incorrect. We continuously try to find more doctors in Canada and the US for our readers. And, some of our readers even contribute to our list of bioidentical doctors with the name of a doctor they have found.

Please correct the address for Dr Andrew De Pieri in Kelowna, BC, Canada. It is #6-1353 Ellis Street, Kelowna, British Columbia V1Y-1Z9, Phone# 250-448-7408.

Also, please remind your readers to get informed before choosing a bioidentical doctor, as I have learned they do not all practice in the same way. First, people should make sure the doctor they choose is affiliated and trains with an accredited anti-aging institution. Furthermore, doctors can vary in the type of testing they do (from blood testing to saliva and urine), and the what they will test for (from a simple hormone panel, to looking at adrenal function, T3 and T4 conversion, human growth factor, etc).
In addition, hormonal balancing is an art that can only be perfected over time, so patients should be aware of their doctor’s level of experience in bioidenticals.
It may be tempting to go with a less expensive provider, however, especially in regard to testing, this is one area where you get what you pay for!

Thank you for letting us know Dr. De Pieri’s current contact information.
It is always good idea to find out what training a doctor has in bioidentical hormones.
