Compounding Pharmacies for Bioidentical Hormones

We have added two new compounding pharmacies to our Compounding Pharmacies page.  These pharmacies are located in Burlington and  Beamsville in Ontario.  These were supplied to us by one of our readers.

Compounding pharmacies are the one of the best sources for helping you to find a Bioidentical doctor with the expertise to prescribe bioidentical medications for the treatment of menopause and andropause. If you cannot find a bioidentical doctor in your area, a compounding pharmacy will know of doctors who can write you a prescription for individually prepared bioidentical mixtures.  Compounding pharmacies prepare the bio identical mixtures for your specific needs. Compounding pharmacies are also a good source of health advice, vitamins, pharmaceuticals, health aids and natural supplements. Some of these pharmacies will also provide you menopausal consultation where you will describe your symptoms and they will suggest the bioidentical formula you need. You can take this to a regular doctor and ask them if they will give you a prescription and monitor your hormone levels every two to three months.

If you are still looking for a doctor to treat your menopausal symptoms with bioidentical hormones, check out our Pharmacies page for a list of compounding pharmacies in your city. We regularly update our list of compounding pharmacies. If you are aware of any other compounding pharmacies in your area that we have not listed here, please email us at Inquiries [at] pureageless [dot] com.  In this way, we can help each other.

How to Achieve Hormone Balance

You may have arrived at the point in your life that your body is having difficulty achieving hormone balance on its own by the symptoms you are experiencing. We have listed here some steps you can follow to achieving hormone balance during menopause and andropause.

One of the first things you can do is to keep track on your symptoms by way of a diary or a chart recording what symptom you are experiencing, what day and time of day you experience these symptoms and possible causes of the symptom you are experiencing.

Book an appointment with a bioidentical doctor or even just a regular doctor to have a hormone panel done. The doctor can tell by your test results what hormones you are low in. It is also possible this test could reveal that you are estrogen dominant at the time which will also cause you to experience negative symptoms affecting your quality of life.

If your hormone levels are unbalanced, set up an appointment with a doctor who specializes in anti-aging and bioidentical hormone therapy.. You check check our bioidentical doctors in Canada page or our bioidentical doctors in the U.S. depending on where you live. These doctors will be able to help you achieve hormone balance and improve your health and wellbeing.

Evaluate your lifestyle. Determine if you are eating a healthy diet and getting all the nutrients you need. If you have never eaten healthily in your entire life, now is the time to begin eating properly. If you are still smoking, you must quit now. Smoking also causes hormone imbalance. Check to see whether you are drinking too much alcohol. You should not be drinking more than a glass of wine a day. Wine is good for you, but too much can have a very negative effect on your life.

Are you exercising? Just like eating healthy meals, exercise is vital for this stage in your life. A half an hour a day, whether it be a walk, a bike ride, pilates or yoga, get moving! The benefits to you are not just a matter of weight control, but it tones up your muscles, strengthens your muscles, your bones, your heart and your lungs. Additional benefits of exercise include the production of the feel good hormones in your body such as the endorphin hormones, among others. Exercising can help fight feelings of listlessness and sadness and even depression.

Get enough sleep. If you have having problems falling asleep or staying asleep, you will find that bioidentical progesterone will help. You should talk to your doctor about this issue. If you need assistance, try a natural solution such as melatonin. Read further about the benefits of melatonin in our article. Going to bed earlier will help. Don’t drink a lot of alcohol before bed and don’t exercise too close to bed time. Minimize your intake of caffeine and colas.

The above tips will help you to achieve hormone balance and increase your health and sense of wellbeing at this stage in your life. Life is changing for you and though the adjustment can be a bit rough, you can manage this stage in your life and achieve hormone balance. This, my friends, is a new beginning for you.
