Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Conditioner

Again, the strong smell of lavender engulfed my head when I followed the Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Shampoo with Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Conditioner. The conditioner is light, not as thick as your typical chemical conditioner so I worried it would not be moisturizing enough. The instructions tell you to leave it in for as long as you like so I left it in my hair for five minutes.

The ingredients listed on the back of the bottle include purified water, sunflower oil, cetyl alcohol, stearic acid, stearyl alcohol, organic lavendar flower, calendula flower, chamomile, flower extracts, oat, sodium chloride, arginine (amino acid), babassu seed oil, vitamin E, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), organic lavendar oil, other essential oils and other ingredients. It bears four organic certifications, the two listed above for the shampoo, plus certifications from BCS Oko-Garantie and Instituto Biodinamico.

Because of the “thin” quality of the conditioner, I worried that my hair would not be moisturized enough and that my hair would be a tangled mess once I attempted to comb through it. However, after towel drying, the comb went through my hair like a dream. No need for a detangler. I did not use a hair polish or “de-frizz” lotion after because I wanted to test Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner after my hair was dry. Result: soft, shiney hair and less frizz than some chemical shampoos and conditioners. Again, Avalon Organics Nourishing Lavender Conditioner is a good product. Loved the fresh feeling the shampoo gave to my hair and the lavender scent which engulfs me as I washed my hair.
