Yogi Tea Egyptian Licorice Tea

Product Review: Yogi Tea Egyptian Licorice Tea

For natural antiaging you should be drinking herbal teas rather than coffee.  Many herbal teas have medicinal benefits to their consumption.  After researching nutritional supplements for a diet for adrenal fatigue, I discovered that licorice root can assist with recovery. So I set out to find an organic licorice tea which would help with the situation. The first tea I bought was a sickly sweet organic licorice tea which I could barely drink because of its unpleasant sweetness.

The second tea I found was Yogi Tea’s “Egyptian Licorice” individual tea bags. It is a delicious organic tea, blended with delicate spices all organically certified. I love it!

On a further note about the benefits of licorice root. It has been used to treat stomach disorders such as constipation and flatulence. It is also used as a diuretic. Its other uses have included relieving rheumatism and arthritis, regulating low blood sugar, and for Addison’s disease. It also produces mild estrogenic effects and has been used to treat symptoms of menopause and regulating menstruation. The chief ingredient in licorice is glycyrrhizin which encourages the production of hormones such as hydrocortisone, giving it anti-inflammatory properties.
